Senior Frontend Developer

We are currently seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with experience in e-commerce or a strong passion for it. Your role will be crucial in shaping the future of online grocery shopping, where you will introduce new features and enhance existing ones to deliver genuine value to our customers. Your Responsibilities

You'll be developing the customer-facing Rohlik website. You'll work on new features to make customers' lives better, speed up the site, and ensure accessibility while continually pushing our tech forward.

Additionally, you will:

• Collaborate within an agile, cross-functional team (SpaceUp) that includes frontend and backend engineers, product designers and product owners.

• Plan, develop, test, and launch new features and experiments using TypeScript and React.

• Engage with engineers throughout the department to discover and enhance our processes and systems collaboratively.

You'll be working with the following technologies:

• TypeScript

• React

• NextJs

• Express

• CSS-in-JS (styled-components) + Tailwind + custom UI library

  • We are moving to tailwind a shadcn/ui

• RESTful API

• Swagger for generating types from the backend

• Jest / React testing library for unit tests (we have 75 % coverage)

We're also incorporating the following tools into our stack:

• Gitlab, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Tettra, Lokalise, Figma, Slack, Google Cloud Platform, Sonarqube

Your Experience

• Proficiency in TypeScript, React and a deep understanding of its workings.

• Extensive experience with Next.js, Tanstack query, Tailwind.

• Experience with using AI for more efficient development.

• Experience in solving web performance issues, solid understanding of core web vitals, and ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

• An advantage is having knowledge of accessibility.

• Experience working on larger projects.

• The ability to collaborate with Product Designers and Product Owners to deliver customer-oriented experiences.

• We favor a hybrid working approach, involving 3 days in the office and 2 days at your home office.

• A pragmatic engineering approach that avoids over-engineering solutions and maintains high-quality code in a delivery-focused setting.

• A results-driven mindset that efficiently minimizes unnecessary complexity in solutions and demonstrates proficiency in preserving superior code quality within a delivery-focused work environment.

• 5+ years of experience in a commercial environment.
