Solution Developer Warehouse Automation

As a Solution Designer Warehouse Automation (m/f/d) within our Automation team, you play a key role in delivering customized automation solutions to Rohlik as well as to our VELOQ clients. You collaborate closely with internal teams, customers and vendors to design efficient and scalable systems that meet the demands of modern warehouse logistics — from requirements analysis to handover to the implementation team.

This position will be closely working with the Head of Engineering (direct line reporting). The role requires convincing planning and engineering skills, the ability to work in an agile environment, strong self management skills and a deep understanding of intralogistic. A holistic project management approach combined with excellent communication skills to internal and external stakeholders is mandatory.

What will be your key reponsibilities:

  • Analysis of internal and customer's warehouse requirements, including warehouse size, throughput, SKU variety and specific order fulfillment requirements.

  • Designing of specific warehouse automation solutions such as Autostore, 3D robots, conveyors or any other automated solution, using product-specific tools and AutoCAD

  • 3D modeling and simulation

  • Budget and timeline

  • detailed technical documentation for the solution

  • Inquiries from subcontractors & external components

  • Standardization of solution development approach, creation of templates

  • Leading project initiation and and design and tender phase

What experience you should have:

  • You are proud of your degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, economics or a comparable qualification

  • With 3-5 years of professional experience of designing and planning of logistics systems (preferred B2C or Integrator background), you already have gained practicable knowledge & expertise

  • You are able to write technical requirements, develop business models, and define support requirements and processes

  • English on a level of business communication, both written/spoken.

  • Autocad Skills

  • Good organization is one of your great strengths, you act proactively and always convince with clear communication both internally and with external service providers

  • You are characterized by a high level of motivation and enthusiasm and you are open to travel at home and abroad

  • You feel comfortable using both qualitative and quantitative data to validate hypotheses and drive decisions
