Department Overview

The Supply Chain team is the orchestrator of our operations, connecting demand with the wider operations ensuring smooth and efficient performance while amazing our customers. We are at a pivotal time as we are significantly broadening the scope of our Supply Chain and will take on some of the most innovative pieces of work that aim to set the benchmark for the industry and drive meaningful impact to our customer’s shopping experience and the bottom line of Rohlik.

Role Overview
We are looking for a high-caliber, hands-on leader to take full ownership of Rohlik’s supply chain operations in Hungary. As Head of Supply Chain Hungary, you will be responsible for delivering world-class product availability, inventory efficiency, and supplier reliability across all categories.

You will lead a team of ordering specialists and vendor operations managers to execute the core supply chain mission: getting the right products, in the right quantity, at the right time—while optimizing margin, waste, and automation. You’ll act as the orchestrator across category, operations, warehouse, and product teams to ensure that our supply chain is not only effective, but truly digital, data-driven, and continuously improving.

This role requires strategic thinking, tactical mastery, and exceptional people leadership. We are looking for someone who has led supply chain teams at scale, preferably in grocery retail or e-commerce, and who is ready to drive the next level of transformation.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end ordering, inventory, and supplier performance management across all fulfillment centers in Hungary.

· Own key supply chain KPIs including availability, stock health, OTIF, shrink, and working capital.

· Drive automation in ordering, exception handling, and forecasting in close collaboration with product and tech teams.

· Build and coach a high-performing team across fresh, dry, and chilled categories.

· Lead cross-functional alignment with category, warehouse operations, finance, and demand planning.

· Run supplier performance reviews and enforce SLA adherence (OTIF, lead time, ASN, labeling compliance).

· Continuously improve planning processes and upstream communication to reduce firefighting and manual fixes.

· Own and evolve tooling and dashboards to ensure visibility and fast decision-making at all levels.

· Represent the Hungary supply chain in group-wide initiatives and benchmarking efforts.

What we expect from you

· Be the executive owner of supply chain execution in the Hungary —proactively driving availability, inventory, and cost performance.

· Set a high bar for supplier reliability, challenging chronic underperformance while enabling sustainable improvements.

· Champion digital transformation—driving automation across ordering, replenishment, and exception handling with product and engineering teams.

· Balance short-term execution with long-term process and tooling improvements; eliminate recurring manual work.

· Lead with data—measure what matters, manage by exception, and drive a performance culture across your team.

· Act as a connector across category, tech, fulfillment, and finance to ensure your supply chain delivers for the business.

· Build, develop, and retain a talented team of supply chain professionals who deliver under pressure and learn fast.

What we look for

· 10+ years of experience in grocery supply chain, with at least 5 in a leadership role.

· Strong expertise in ordering, inventory control, and supplier operations (especially OTIF, ASN, inbound accuracy).

· Solid understanding of how fresh, chilled, and dry supply chains differ—and how to optimize each.

· Proven track record managing teams at scale and improving KPIs through systems and people.

· Data-driven and process-oriented mindset; fluent in Excel, BI tools, and basic SQL.

· Experience collaborating with tech teams to develop or enhance supply chain tools.

· Fluent in Hungarian and English.
