A Category Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned product categories – Non-Food. This role focuses on optimizing assortment, pricing and promotions to achieve sales and margin targets, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring an attractive offer for customers.

What you’ll do

• Own the commercial performance of assigned categories.

• Lead supplier negotiations and category reviews with selected suppliers.

• Work closely with Marketing and Supply Chain to deliver promotions and manage stock levels.

• Provide input into category strategy and Joint Business Plans (JBP).

• Support the launch of new products and seasonal ranges.

• Gather and work with information from suppliers and internal teams on product availability, pricing and market trends.

What we’re looking for

• We’re looking for an experienced category manager / buyer who combines commercial instinct, analytical thinking and strong execution.

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in category management or buying.

• Experience with Non-Food categories such as Home, Office, Paper Goods or Chemical Goods is a strong advantage.

• Proven track record of growing categories and delivering commercial results (ideally in FMCG, retail or e-commerce).

• Strong negotiation skills, data-driven mindset and strategic thinking.

• Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders.

• Fluent Hungarian and communicative English (B2).

Nice to have:

• Experience managing categories across multiple countries.

• Strong supplier network in the Non-Food / household / office / paper / chemical goods market in Hungary.
